Big Data vs Fast Computation, Scheffler one of four invited experts on PASC2018 panel
NOMAD Coordinator Matthias Scheffler was one of four experts invited to discuss the critical challenges arising in the next 5-10 years for HPC application areas at the Panel Discussion Big Data vs. Fast Computation – Is HPC Facing a Game Change? at the Platform for Advanced Scientific Computing (PASC) 2018 conference.
PASC is ‘an international platform for the exchange of competences in scientific computing and computational science, with a strong focus on methods, tools, algorithms, application challenges, and novel techniques and usage of high-performance computing’. The focus of this year’s PASC conference (July 2 - 4, 2018) was Fast and Big Data, Fast and Big Computation.
