NOMAD is a web-based platform for FAIR sharing and analyzing of materials science data. This online tutorial series covers all important aspects of the NOMAD Laboratory project (Pillar A of FAIR-DI e.V.) and teaches participants how to use them efficiently. The tutorials are designed as interactive online seminars with introductory videos, hands-on exercises, and live Q&A zoom sessions with the NOMAD developers. All time zones are considered.
The first tutorial by NOMAD developer Markus Scheidgen takes place on October 6 - 7 and focuses on the NOMAD Repository and Archive – Sharing, Publishing, and Managing Computational Materials Science Data with NOMAD.
Registration is required.
In the first tutorial, NOMAD Developer Markus Scheidgen will address:
- Introduction to NOMAD, the Repository and Archive
- Publishing data – from raw data on your disk to FAIR, citable data
- NOMAD’s metadata – from simple to complex search queries
- NOMAD’s API for automating exploration and download
- NOMAD’s Python package to access data or process data locally
The preliminary program of the series includes:
- October 6-7, 2020
Markus Scheidgen: NOMAD Repository and Archive – Sharing, Publishing, and Managing Computational Materials Science Data with NOMAD
- December 1-2, 2020
Lauri Himanen: NOMAD Materials Encyclopedia
- February 2-3, 2021 & February 9-10, 2021
Luca Ghiringhelli: NOMAD Artificial Intelligence Toolkit - Part 1 & 2
