To make your data citable, we offer you to request a digital object identifier (DOI). It can, e.g., be used to point to your data in a publication. DOIs can only be provided for datasets, not for single entries. For this purpose, a dataset, containing this entry, must be created before. Obviously, a DOI can only be provided for open-access data.

To receive a DOI, got to Your data, login to your account. First create a dataset. To do that, you can either

  • select and edit individual entries,
  • select and edit all your entries,
  • do a search and select and edit the results
  • choose an upload to edit

The edit dialog will allow you to name a dataset. If it does not exist it will be created. All edited entries will be added to the dataset. On Your data your can also choose a create dataset and click the DOI button on the respective dataset. The edit dialog will also allow you to add comments, co-authors, and additional references to your data.
